Hello! I'm Felipe, a Brazilian currently living in northeastern Europe. You can contact me by commenting in any of the posts, but also at

This website has a history dating back to July 2010 when it was first published with a simple turquoise background and grey text (unfortunately, I didn't manage to save a screenshot of it).

I started listening to Yoeko Kurahashi around September 2008, and it quickly became evident that there was a lack of information about her on the internet, especially in English. Yoeko had recently released her best album "Shuugakushou", but her official website had already been deactivated around that time. I then thought it would be a good idea to compile all the information I had gathered for these couple of years in one place. There was no intention of keeping it for all these years or of keeping it updated since it seemed highly unlikely that Yoeko would make a comeback to her musical career.

However, when the website marked its first anniversary, I took the initiative to design a fresh layout inspired by her album "Tadaima", a layout that remarkably endured for a whopping twelve years, from July 2011 to October 2023. Operating on a precarious free web hosting service, the website teetered on the brink, frequently experiencing server downtime that required my intervention. Each revival brought its own set of issues, from unsolicited advertisements to broken links.

With the free time I had during the COVID pandemic, I decided to migrate it to a paid server in 2020. Now the information was secured, but there was nothing new to update it with.

That is until the unexpected happened: Yoeko announced her comeback after a 15-year hiatus. This moment reignited my enthusiasm for the website. I noticed during the last years she gained lots of new fans, mostly from outside Japan, and there was even a Reddit forum about her (something I could definitely not imagine back in 2010 when I started the website). I felt compelled to take action, reviving the website by fixing broken links, implementing updates, and crafting a fresh layout. I aimed to preserve the nostalgic essence of the previous design, not because it perfectly aligned with Yoeko's Kayoukyoku/Showa-era "pop" music, but rather because my web design and HTML/CSS coding skills remained unchanged since 2010.

The current layout was based on her album "Modern Girl" and was published in October 2023.
