description
Yoeko contributed musical composition and performance to a promotional campaign for Nante Nodoame cough drops, manufactured by Tokiwa Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd. The campaign featured two 15-second commercials with distinct lyrics, both debuting on Japanese television around October 2003. Emi Hashino starred in the commercials portraying a fox named Konkon Gitsune, seated on the street while coughing. This character's name played on the Japanese onomatopoeia "Konkon" which can mean both the sound of coughing and the cry of a fox. Yoeko's name was not visibly presented on screen or within the company's campaign website, which originally hosted the streaming of both commercials and partial lyrics to the song. However, a few years later, Thirtieth Co., Ltd., the production company behind the commercial, revealed additional production details on their website. This included the recognition of Yoeko Kurahashi (倉橋よえこ), credited with the musical composition, performance, and vocals. Worth noting that "Yoeko" was spelled in Hiragana rather than Katakana (the correct way).
